皮脂厚度計(jì)用于美容院，中心，醫(yī)院，學(xué)校等。
皮脂厚度計(jì)作用：通過(guò)測(cè)量皮下脂肪的厚度，不可以了解皮下脂肪的厚度，判斷人的肥瘦情況，而且還可以用所測(cè)得的皮脂肪厚度推測(cè)全身的脂肪的數(shù)量，來(lái)評(píng)價(jià)人身組成的比例。這是評(píng)定人身組成簡(jiǎn)便的方法。
皮脂厚度計(jì)儀器的調(diào)整?—使用前須將圓盤內(nèi)指針調(diào)整到圓盤刻度表上的“0”位。調(diào)整方法：用于轉(zhuǎn)動(dòng)調(diào)整“0”位盤即可將指針對(duì)準(zhǔn)到“0”位。
皮脂厚度計(jì)測(cè)試程序
1、 受試者應(yīng)著背心褲衩或短褲。
2、 實(shí)驗(yàn)者右手握皮脂計(jì)使兩半弓形測(cè)試臂張開，左手拇指和食指將受試者所測(cè)部位的皮膚捏緊提起。拇食指捏住提起時(shí)，拇食指間應(yīng)保持適當(dāng)距離，這樣捏緊提起皮膚既包括皮膚亦包括皮下組織，但要將所在部位的肌肉也提起。為檢查是否將肌肉也提起可令受試者主動(dòng)收縮該部位的肌肉，此時(shí)肌肉即滑脫。然后將張開的皮脂計(jì)距離手指捏起部位1cm處鉗入，右手指將皮脂計(jì)的把柄放開，讀出指針的數(shù)值（mm）并記錄下來(lái)，每個(gè)部位應(yīng)重復(fù)測(cè)兩次，二者所測(cè)的數(shù)值誤差不應(yīng)5%。
皮脂厚度計(jì)測(cè)定部位：
1） 上臀部—右上臂肩峰至橈骨頭連線之中點(diǎn)，即肱三頭肌腹部位。
2） 背部—右肩胛角下方。
3） 腹部—右腹部臍旁1cm。
除上述部位外，根據(jù)研究需要還可以測(cè)頸部、胸部、腰部、大腿前后側(cè)和小腿腓腸肌部位。
應(yīng)當(dāng)指出：用皮脂計(jì)所測(cè)的皮下脂肪厚度是皮膚和皮下脂肪組織雙倍的和。
 
皮脂厚度計(jì)體脂肪%的計(jì)算
應(yīng)用Brozek（1963）改良公司計(jì)算體脂肪%，據(jù)認(rèn)為Brozek改良公式計(jì)算體脂%是比較的一種計(jì)算方法，該公式為：
身體脂肪%=（4.570÷身體密度－4.142）×100
身體脂肪重量=體重（公斤）×身體脂肪%
凈體重（去脂體重）=體重（公斤）－體脂肪重（公斤）
